Fairy ( Peri )

Peri adalah adalah istilah yang sering digunakan pada cerita rakyat, dongeng, fiksi untuk menggambarkan mahluk yang memiliki kekuatan gaib yang kadang kala turut campur dalam urusan-urusan manusia. Di Indonesia istilah peri sering digunakan dalam penerjemahan tokoh yang menggambarkan elf atau fairy (istilah dalam bahasa Inggris) dalam cerita fiksi maupun dongeng-dongeng dari Eropa. Pada kisah fiksi modern karakter Peri sering dipinjam dari versi aslinya dan digunakan dalam kisah fiksi fantasi masa kini dengan berbagai variasi penggambaran tergantung oleh penulis atau penciptanya.

Peri sering diceritakan memiliki bentuk mirip dengan manusia, seringkali juga dipercaya merupakan perupaan roh atau jin yang menjelma sebagai perempuan cantik yang senang mengganggu. Di Eropa (Inggris) sekitar tahun 1592 oleh Shakespeare peri digambarkan sebagai siluman (sprite) atau menjelma sebagai wanita cantik bersayap (fairy), di negara-negara Skandinavia dan menurut cerita-cerita kuno dari Eropa Utara penamaan peri juga diberikan pada mahluk-mahluk halus yang digambarkan sebagai mahluk metafisik, gaib atau jelmaan dari alam.

Peri juga sering diidentifikasikan sebagai mahluk-mahluk mitologis. Dalam penggambarannya cerita-cerita rakyat yang menggunakan istilah "peri" seringkali berbeda definisi tentang apa itu peri, di satu pihak nama ini seringkali dihubungkan dengan mahluk gaib seperti siluman namun pada kali lain peri digambarkan sebagai mahluk yang lebih nyata.

Wujud dan penampakan peri ini bermacam-macam, kali waktu digambarkan bahwa mereka memiliki tinggi seperti rata-rata manusia biasa dan kali lain digambarkan bahwa mereka ini berupa mahluk-mahluk kecil. Di Eropa peri dalam wujud "besar" dipercaya telah "dibicarakan" sejak sebelum tahun 1000 M, sedangkan wujud "kecil"nya mengikuti kemudian dengan membentuk rupanya sendiri berupa mahluk kecil baik yang bersayap maupun tidak, dan dipercaya muncul pada sekitar tahun 1250 - 1300M sebagai istilah turunan (dari bahasa Swedia alf, elfva) yang kemudian diterjemahkan sebagai fairy (Inggris) yang berarti mahluk yang menyerupai manusia kecil. Kadang peri digambarkan memiliki telinga panjang dan lancip, dan memiliki rambut yang panjang. Peri juga seringkali digambarkan dapat berubah wujud, atau mengambil wujud wanita cantik yang tiba-tiba bisa menghilang.

Burung Hantu

Burung hantu adalah kelompok burung yang merupakan anggota ordo Strigiformes. Burung ini termasuk golongan burung buas (karnivora, pemakan daging) dan merupakan hewan malam (nokturnal). Seluruhnya, terdapat sekitar 222 spesies yang telah diketahui, yang menyebar di seluruh dunia kecuali Antartika, sebagian besar Greenland, dan beberapa pulau-pulau terpencil.

Di dunia barat, hewan ini dianggap simbol kebijaksanaan, tetapi di beberapa tempat di Indonesia dianggap pembawa pratanda maut, maka namanya Burung Hantu. Walau begitu tidak di semua tempat di Nusantara burung ini disebut sebagai burung hantu. Di Jawa misalnya, nama burung ini adalah darès atau manuk darès yang tidak ada konotasinya dengan maut atau hantu. Di Sulawesi Utara, burung hantu dikenal dengan nama Manguni.

Burung hantu dikenal karena matanya besar dan menghadap ke depan, tak seperti umumnya jenis burung lain yang matanya menghadap ke samping. Bersama paruh yang bengkok tajam seperti paruh elang dan susunan bulu di kepala yang membentuk lingkaran wajah, tampilan "wajah" burung hantu ini demikian mengesankan dan kadang-kadang menyeramkan. Apalagi leher burung ini demikian lentur sehingga wajahnya dapat berputar 180 derajat ke belakang.

Umumnya burung hantu berbulu burik, kecoklatan atau abu-abu dengan bercak-bercak hitam dan putih. Dipadukan dengan perilakunya yang kerap mematung dan tidak banyak bergerak, menjadikan burung ini tidak mudah kelihatan; begitu pun ketika tidur di siang hari di bawah lindungan daun-daun.

Ekor burung hantu umumnya pendek, namun sayapnya besar dan lebar. Rentang sayapnya mencapai sekitar tiga kali panjang tubuhnya.

Fairy Tail

Fairy Tail (フェアリーテイル Fearī Teiru^?) adalah seri manga yang dibuat dan diilustrasikan oleh Hiro Mashima. Seri ini diterbitkan di Weekly Shōnen Magazine sejak 23 Agustus 2006, dan saat ini masih berlanjut. Bab-bab manganya sudah dikumpulkan, dan diterbitkan dalam buku tersendiri (tankobon). Di Indonesia sendiri sudah ada 7 volume yang dirilis.

Seri anime Fairy Tail produksi A-1 Pictures dan Satelight ini sudah dirilis di Jepang sejak 12 Oktober 2009 dan disiarkan oleh TV Tokyo. ^[1] Seri ini bercerita tentang petualangan Lucy Heartfilia yang seorang penyihir sesudah ia bergabung dalam guild (kelompok) Fairy Tail dan berpasangan dengan Natsu Dragneel, penyihir berelemen api yang tengah mencari naga bernama Igneel.

Seri Fairy Tail sudah dilisensi dengan bahasa Inggris di Amerika Utara oleh Del Rey Manga yang sudah merilis manganya sejak 25 Maret 2008.

Bleach

Bleach (ブリーチ, Burīchi?, diromanisasikan sebagai BLEACH di Jepang) adalah serial manga yang dikarang oleh Tite Kubo (久保 帯人 Kubo Taito), mangaka dari Zombie Powder. Serial Bleach mulai diterbitkan sejak tahun 2001, dan semenjak penerbitannya, serial ini sudah diadaptasi menjadi sebuah serial anime, dua buah OVA (Original Video Animation), tiga film layar lebar, dua musikal rock, dan beberapa judul permainan video. Kompilasi manga (Tankōbon) Bleach sudah terjual sebanyak 39 juta kopi di Jepang. Manga ini diserialkan dalam mingguan Shonen Jump.

Bleach bercerita tentang Ichigo Kurosaki, seorang pelajar SMA yang memiliki kemampuan untuk melihat arwah, dan juga Rukia Kuchiki, seorang shinigami (dewa kematian) yang pada suatu hari bertemu dengan Ichigo sewaktu sedang memburu arwah jahat yang disebut hollow. Pada saat Rukia bertarung melawan hollow tersebut, ia terluka dan oleh sebab itu ia tidak memiliki jalan lain selain memindahkan kekuatan shinigami-nya kepada Ichigo. Sejak saat inilah petualangan Ichigo dan Rukia dimulai.

Mereka berdua bertualang mencari dan melawan para hollow dan melaksanakan ritual konsou untuk para arwah gentayangan. Dengan ritual ini, para arwah gentayangan menerima pembersihan dan mereka dapat dikirim ke Soul Society (Masyarakat Roh). Bagian awal dari cerita ini difokuskan kepada karakter-karakter dan masa lalu mereka, dan bukan terfokus pada dunia pekerjaan shinigami. Seiring jalannya cerita, hal-hal seperti kehidupan shinigami di Soul Society mulai terungkap sedikit demi sedikit.

Berdasarkan data yang dikumpulkan Forbes, sejak Juni 2009 sampai Juni 2010, total pendapatan yang diraih Winfrey dari kerajaan medianya, mencapai 315 juta dollar AS.


Di urutan kedua ditempati pelantun "If I Were a Boy", Beyonce Knowles. Penyanyi 28 tahun ini, naik peringkat dari urutan keempat pada tahun 2009 ke posisi kedua dengan penghasilan sebesar 87 juta dollar AS. Sumber pendapatannya diperoleh dari karier di dunia hiburan dan bisnis fashion.
